Hearing Choice was founded by lead audiologist Andrew Haine to offer a genuinely independent alternative to the high street - a premium hearing service for people who want the best, but also want value for money.
Andrew's story
After graduating with a degree in audiology, Andrew went on to work for a major hearing aid manufacturer, before practising at one of the UK's leading NHS audiology departments.
Working for a leading manufacturer left him acutely aware of a gap in UK hearing care: the technology was advancing fast, but clinics and shops weren't keeping pace - or giving patients enough time and instruction to actually benefit from it. High street hearing shops are often owned by, or tied to, a specific manufacturer, so their advice and their range are both shaped by that relationship rather than by what's genuinely best for the patient in front of them.
So Andrew set up Hearing Choice as the alternative: free hearing assessments, free aftercare for life, and access to the latest hearing aids from every major manufacturer, at prices lower than the high street - with none of the rush of a packed high street diary.

Who founded Hearing Choice?
Hearing Choice was founded by Andrew, our lead audiologist. After graduating with a BA (Hons) degree, he worked for a major hearing aid manufacturer and then at one of the UK’s top NHS audiology departments, before setting up Hearing Choice as an independent alternative to the high street.
Why was Hearing Choice set up?
Andrew saw high street hearing shops offering rushed appointments, with advice shaped by the manufacturer they were tied to. He wanted to offer a thorough, unhurried service and honest advice, with the latest hearing aids at fair prices.
Can I talk to Andrew about my hearing?

Are your audiologists registered?
Yes. All our audiologists are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and are members of the British Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists (BSHAA).
